C4T summary

I was assigned to read ideasandthoughts.org these past few weeks. The author of this blog, Dean Shareski, is a very intelligent man. The first blog post of his i commented on was titled "Twitter as a Creative Outlet." Mr. Shareski has a very unique view about Twitter. He often uses Twitter as a way to make jokes and laugh about certain topics. He believes Twitter shouldn't be used for blogging because you can only say so much. 

The second blog post I read is titled "Put the Laptop Down." In this post, David believes that the laptop shouldn't always be used in the classroom. He explains that most students have a hard time multi-tasking. He said something very interesting about how it is the teachers job to be more entertaining than the laptop or tablet, but that's not always possible. I responded with, " I agree that the laptop can be a distraction sometimes. I think that students should be encouraged to bring technology into the classroom though. Technology is such an important part in today's society, I think students should be able to access the Internet during lecture. I could definitely see times when it is appropriate to say, "alright class put the lap tops and tablets downs and let's focus on fractions."

  I enjoyed reading your post. You have a unique view on Twitter and I liked picking your brain. I also believe that Twitter shouldn't be the only social media site out there. You can only say so much in 140 characters.
